Whether it’s a sunset over the bay, the wild horses on Assateague Island, or even the lively, historic mainstreets of Snow Hill, Berlin, and Pocomoke, there’s plenty to see and grab a photo of to look back on later.
On Maryland’s Coast, there are hidden gems of photography gold all over, but we’ll give you a hint to some of our favorites!
No visit to Maryland's Coast is complete without a stroll along the iconic Ocean City Boardwalk. Lined with shops, restaurants, and amusements, this 3-mile-long stretch offers endless photo opportunities with an ocean backdrop.
The natural beauty of Assateague Island National Seashore can’t be understated. Check out the barrier island famous for its wild horses, pristine beaches, and untouched landscapes. It is a photographer's paradise to capture the local scenery.
Snow Hill and Pocomoke City both have the pleasure of being situated along the Pocomoke River. Besides the variety of water sports and trails to enjoy, the landscape is perfect for photo sessions with the cypress trees, wildlife, swamp lands, and more.
The picturesque downtown of Berlin, MD is known for its small-town charm that you can easily emulate through photography. The brick shops and restaurants transport you to the set of a Hallmark movie — or more specifically, the set of Paramount Picture’s Runaway Bride. Plus, heading into town during seasonal events can give plenty of subjects to show off even more coastal fun with farmer’s markets, live entertainment, and more.
If you love history and unique scenery, Furnace Town in Snow Hill, MD is a place you need to visit for photos. Travel back in time to 19th-century village life with the preserved Nassawango Iron Furnace and 25 acres of surrounding land.
