In-Person – Paint Portraits Class Using Charcoal Pencils

Native American Heritage Month – Black and white charcoal pencil

An artistic celebration to honor America’s indigenous people.  Pick your favorite vintage photograph and together we will use charcoal pencils to draw a realistic portrait. We will trace the image (8×10) and and use charcoal pencils on tinted paper to achieve clarity and realism.  We’ll work to balance the dark and light values in image, sometimes sketching and other times blending.
